Ever had a ride on a pedicab? Know what a pedicab is? Well, it’s like a cab meets a horse-drawn carriage except the horses are replaced with cyclists. That’s right. For tips (or $50/hour) actual people - very fit people - peddle passengers around in an open carriage. In some cities, they call them rickshaws. In downtown Austin, we call them saviors! You see, on the weekends and during special events in Austin, there are many street closures through which cars cannot pass. You hop onto a pedicab when you want to get from point A to point B without having to hoof it. Pedicabs can truly save the day, not to mention be a fun ride!
