Metallica have announced a major US tour coinciding with the release of Death Magnetic. Of course they’re not coming to Louisville, but that’s okay (not many do). I will cross paths with KH again someday!

My favorite band on earth, My Morning Jacket (aka My Husband’s Band), are headed back to Europe in November so all you readers across the pond have something to look forward to. I should be on hand to report back with photos and mildly interesting anecdotes.

Death Cab For Cutie will entertain Koreans and Americans alike starting this weekend as they embark on a tour that keeps them on the road through October.

SXSW season has started in earnest, and I wonder who will be the breakout bands in ‘09? It’s been a great summer for ‘08 alums Fleet Foxes, Duffy, Katy Perry and the adorable Gil Mantera’s Party Dream.
