PICK THREE - ERIC MAYERS, TOUR MANAGING GOD
Eric Mayers, ferocious teddy bear and heavily bearded tour manager who gets the best backdrops ever, enjoys snowboarding, vacationing, poster collecting, visiting Zagat rated restaurants while on tour and walking his dog with his wife.
Not long ago Mr. Mayers tackled The LP Questionnaire.
And without further ado, here’s some Pick Three tidings from My Morning Jacket’s groovy TM…
Akron/Family: I really like their self titled record, especially the song: How Do I Know. Having never seen them live, I am excited to hear how their softer songs translate.
Ghengis Tron: The best band name ever. I have never heard of them, seen them, but their songs on myspace remind me of Mastodon, Boris and Satyricon. Game on!
Eddie Spagetti from Supersucker’s panel, Tour Smart: Can’t wait to hear his take on making it happen on the road.
Hope you enjoyed this edition of Pick Three. Email your thoughts on rainbows and unicorns to musicblog@sxsw.com. More groovyness coming tomorrow, lp
