Tonight in the Metroplex, the SXSW Interactive Festival continues its six-week run of local get-togethers tonight at Zubar (2012 Greenville Avenue). Join other new media professionals and cutting-edge digital creatives from 7:00-9:00 pm for free drinks and plenty of engaging geek conversation. Austin Music Minute: Dougie MacLean

Scottish songwriter Dougie MacLean has gained international recognition for his work as both singer and composer. Among his numerous appearances, he’s graced the stages of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and Carnegie Hall in New York, and still finds time to run his own record label, recording studio and publishing company. MacLean will be in Austin tonight for a special performance at the Cactus Cafe.
