Sign up for ‘Quickies’ at SXSW Music

SXSW Quickies
Are you registered for SXSW Music? You can sign up for our ‘Quickies’ sessions online now. Quickies are a new conference event in which music business experts will have short meetings with small groups of registrants. In the 75 minute sessions, you will meet with at least five experts. The experts are drawn from a variety of fields, and the topics are different each day. Here’s the lineup:
Wednesday March 12: Press, Publicists and Bloggers
Thursday March 13: People Who Pay Money For Music: Labels, Performance Rights Organizations, Music Supervisors, etc.
Friday March 14: The Live Show: Agents, Venue Buyers, Merchandisers
Saturday March 15: In The Studio: Producers, Engineers, Studio Owners

Austin Music Minute: Chix Rock Benefit Concert

The women are rockin’ the house tomorrow night at The Continental Club. It’s a non-stop party with great music provided by some of Austin’s best performers at the Chix Rock show this Saturday. Some of the performers include Kacy Crowley, Mary Cutrufello, and the West Coast Pinups, featuring Cella Blue of the White Ghost Shivers. Proceeds benefit The SIMS Foundation and The Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.
