This competition is designed to uncover the online world’s hottest new innovators and its most exciting new trends. Past winners range from Meebo to Squidoo to Twitter to Technorati. Also, please don’t forget that Sunday night, March 9 brings the gala Web Awards Ceremony to the Downtown Hilton hotel, as presented by Adobe Systems. A celebration of the amazing creativity of this exciting new medium, the Web Awards Ceremony is the centerpiece of evening activities at SXSW Interactive.

You may have seen local artist Bruce Hughes play with The Ugly Americans, The Scabs, and even Bob Schneider’s Lonelyland, but he can definitely hold his own on stage. His style is a blunt rock ‘n’ roll karate chop in the face, and he’ll bring that energy to the Saxon Pub tomorrow night.
