Friday, October 5th is the last day to apply to showcase at the 2008 SXSW Music Festival with the early application fee of $20. After the 5th, the fee to apply will be $30 until the final deadline of November 9th. (International acts must apply no later than October 26th.)
This year you have a choice of two ways to apply – both online to save you the trek to the post office. Submit your online application at the SXSW website or apply using Sonicbids It’s your choice - just remember that the price for both domestic and international acts goes up after October 5th. Remember to make time tomorrow for an evening of great music in a unique setting, brought to you by The Church of the Friendly Ghost. The Church is an informal gathering of artists that provides a space for performers that’s a far cry from your average music venue. They have a residency at the new Salvage Vanguard Theater location on Manor Road, where they present a show every Tuesday night.
